All estimates, margins, VAT settings and suggested prices must be independently verified before making business decisions or issuing customer quotes. This is a publicly accessible beta: do not put confidential customer details, third-party passwords or sensitive business data into financial plans. Use fictional or anonymised figures during testing. When creating a ProgrammeProfit account, use a new, unique password in the sign-up form above. The browser-local Save plan button does not back up plans to your cloud account; cloud saving is a separate action after signing in.
1. Choose your business
Select a business model. Changing profiles starts a NEW plan and asks permission first.
Switching opens a confirmation dialog. Your current work is not automatically saved.
2. Programme details
Enter your planned revenue assumptions.
3. Itemised costs
Each cost can have its own calculation basis. Add as many as you need.
Percentage fees scale with revenue; volume-based costs scale with sold/attended units. No tax or VAT assumptions are added automatically.
4. Financial targets
Work backwards from a desired surplus or margin.
2. Job details
Estimate an individual job rather than monthly billable hours.
3. Cost out the job
Add quantities, hours and rates for every component. Edit or remove anything.
Labour rate is an economic cost, including your own time if you work on the job. Other expenses can include fuel, equipment hire, overhead allocation and waste disposal.
4. How much should I charge?
Build a quote using your real job costs and your profit target.
5. Actual job costs
Once work is finished, record actual spending to see whether the original quote was profitable.
Actual cost fields are optional. Blank values use the corresponding estimate, and a report marks such results as provisional. Actual costs do not include estimated contingency unless separately entered.
